Veterans Reduced – Tuition is transferable
Veterans Reduced-Tuition is Transferrable |
Many colleges and universities have joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in reducing tuition for veterans who are students. The schools donate varying amounts and the government matches any additional tuition aid provided by the private school. The Post-9/11 GI Bill applies to community colleges and four-year institutions. For the first time, service members can transfer the tuition benefit to spouses or children. The benefit can be used for up to 15 years after the service member leaves active duty.
