Santa Claus isn’t just for kids, it’s also for the elderly.
Santa Claus isn't just for kids, it’s also for the elderly. A number of seniors in nursing homes, at home, or in an assisted living facility, have no children or relatives. Consequently, Christmas can be a lonely time. Once again Senior Life Care Planning is involved with "Be a Santa to a Senior" this holiday season.
We are working to create a Merry Christmas for local seniors as part of a nationwide campaign that provides modest gifts for the elderly living in retirement communities.
"Most seniors, without family, seems to think everyone has forgotten about them; therefore, we are trying to show we care" says David Wingate, President of Senior Life Care Planning.
“We provide gifts, the senior’s request, such as, blankets, slippers, bathrobes, toiletries, candy, old movies or books. The seniors realize that there are people who still care, respect and love them. It's gives them that Christmas feeling again," states David Wingate.
