President Obama Says No to Raising Medicare Eligibility Age

The White House Press Secretary announced that President Obama was
no longer considering raising the Medicare eligibility age as a means to
achieve deficit reduction. In the past, President Obama was willing to consider
raising the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67 as part of a “grand bargain”
