Here’s Relief for the “Sandwich Generation”
Many of you are struggling with caring for your aging parents. And there is now a growing trend among caregivers who care for both their children and their parents. They are, of course, what we call the “sandwich generation.”
The trend concerns these sandwich generation members who feel guilty and stressed because, for the first time in their lives, they cannot do it all.
The four steps sandwich generation caregivers need to take to reduce their own stress and guilt.
- What steps to take right now if you are caring for your parents and children.
- When should they call in family or friends to help them care for their parents?
- When should they call in an outside experts?
- What are the five warning signs that the stress in their life is too much?
I am an elder law attorney and author. I have helped hundreds of families throughout the area deal with these issues.
I look forward to hearing from you so that we might help families in our area become better able to cope with all the stresses that being a “sandwich generation” caregiver leads to.
