Consumers Impatient for ObamaCare Coverage Can Start the Process Now

Starting Aug. 5, consumers can go to the website healthcare.gov and open a personal account — the
first step to buying health care coverage that would take effect January 1,
2014. The administration is hoping to provoke more interest in the new health
insurance options by allowing consumers to start the process now, even though
enrollment does not technically begin until Oct. 1. Sixteen states and the
District of Columbia are setting up their own online market places, so the new
healthcare.gov website covers 34 states.
